Mata Hari the Musical, written by Kevin Schroeder and composed by Marc Schubring tells the tale of the dutch spy Margaretha Zelle who dreamed of a bigger life. The musical consists out of two settings: the classical and the pop world. Ann Sophie portrays the Mata Hari Pop Star who is everything Margaretha Zelle dreams of. A woman she disappears into in her wildest dreams when she wants to escape. A woman who does everything it takes to be a star, to be seen, to be heard and who does not apologise for who she is.
